I feel compelled to report that the number of estrogen producers increased slightly at 12:05 pm Tuesday with the arrival of Whitney Alexa Young, my wife's fourth grandchild. She's remarkably serene and calm for a newborn, which I attribute to her happiness at finally being born after having to be restrained from coming out too early the past couple of months.
I heartily recommend marrying into grandparenthood; you get to skip the parenting. To be fair, I do have a fine daughter of my own who,while in no hurry to reproduce, doesn't seem to have been completely put off the idea by her older stepsister's tribulations of the past few months.
